Another week gone by and I’m not posting… While things are busy, I must admit I just haven’t taken the time to post. My goal this week is to get back in the groove of things and update on a regular basis.

For starters, I saw the resurrection of the 70′s sci-fi classic “Battlestar Galactica” (the first two hours that aired tonight, anyway). It’s interesting how they’re paying homage to the original. In some ways it’s like the original happened, but in other ways it’s like it didn’t. The basic storyline is a retelling of the original movie that spun off the TV series, but at the same time, it’s set as though it’s taking place 40 years later. Sort of an alternative universe thing. I liked the character development and the various interactions going on, but the action was a bit slow, unlike the original.

Was nice to see them include the original theme music… they had a high-school type band play it during the ceremony to retire the Battlestar (of course, the Cylons attack then, and we’re off on the main plot).

Interesting take on the whole technology-averse luddite subplot. I just hope the thing doesn’t get too politically preachy… I watched the first five minutes of “The Reagans” on Showtime and saw just how far left that one was going to lean. Can’t decide if I’m going to watch the remaining 175 minutes…
